Our lab is interested in understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate gene transcription to mediate cognition and how those mechanisms are altered with cognitive disorders.

We focus on characterizing the role of epigenetic mechanisms, such as histone modifications and DNA methylation, primarily in neurons and synapses within the hippocampus to understand the regulation of learning and memory.
