Dr. Nicola Grissom – Postdoctoral Fellow 2010-2011
Nicola received her undergraduate degree from Reed College in 2003, and her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2009, both in Psychology. Her doctoral work looked at mechanisms in the basolateral amygdala important to adapting to repeated stressors, under the guidance of Dr. Seema Bhatnagar, now at the University of Pennsylvania. Nicola’s previous work in the lab involved investigation of NF-kB regulation of epigenetic modifications important to contextual and cued fear memory.

Brittnye’s work involved investigating the effect of seizures on epigenetic regulation of genes related to memory disorders associated with epilepsy.
